Knights at Devín Castle

An annual knights festival at Devín Castle spanning over 1400 years of history in a single day. Programme: opening ceremony (11:00), theatrical show 'Richard the Lionheart' (12:00), Renaissance dances (13:00), 'The Secret of the Slavic Sword' show (14:00), jester performance (15:00), Renaissance knight tournament 'La Giostra' with 4 mounted knights (16:00), period music and poetry recital (17:30), closing ceremony with fencing, dance and banners (18:30). Throughout the day: archery with bows, crossbows and knife throwing, horse riding, children's games (catapult, stilts, ring toss), craft and food stalls. Castle grounds and exhibitions included with entry ticket. Entry: 12€ / concession 6€ / family 15–27€.
