Zahajovací koncert Bratislavských Jazzových Dní 2026

The warm-up concert for this year's Bratislava Jazz Days, in the newly reopened Metropol. Three duos open the festival. Peter Lipa, the figurehead of Slovak jazz, hosts the traditional September warm-up, this time in an intimate project with the pianist Gabriel Jonáš. Dániel Szebényi is a Hungarian composer, singer and pianist with over 200 million streams; his playing is on the recording of Fly Me to the Moon tied to Squid Game. He is joined by the bassist Dániel Usztics, who plays in the band of the blues guitarist Tibor Tátrai. Simona Hulejová and Ľubomír Gašpar both grew up on folk music and studied jazz and classical. Expect Slovak trávnice, jazz standards, the Roma song Ederlezi, Edith Piaf, and their own writing.
